CertLumenDatabricks certification courses

Privacy

CertLumen is a private study portal with courses for Databricks certifications, run by its owner for the people they invite. This page says what the site keeps about you and why.

What the site keeps

  • Your account: name, username, email if you give one, and a password stored only as a salted hash.
  • Your study progress: lessons, answers, mock exam results, flashcards, study streak and assignments.
  • Your AI tutor chats and any thumbs up or down you give answers.
  • If you turn them on: notification subscriptions for your devices, two-step sign-in (its secret encrypted) and reminder settings.
  • Sign-in records: when you last signed in, and failed attempts for a short time to stop password guessing.
  • If you buy a course: what you bought, the price, any discount code and the receipt. Card and bank details go only to the payment service (Stripe or Razorpay); the site never sees them.
  • If you joined with someone's referral link: who referred you, so they can get their reward. That link is remembered in a cookie for 30 days.
  • If you share your certificate of completion: anyone with its link can see your name, the course, the date and your readiness then. You can stop sharing at any time.

Without an account

The free readiness check runs in your browser and keeps your answers on your device, so they can count once you sign up. The site counts visits to its public pages and finished checks per day, without cookies and without knowing who you are. If you ask for your result by email, or send the For teams form, it keeps what you typed so it can reply.

Sign in with Google

Google sign-in is used only to confirm who you are. The site receives your name, email address and Google account ID. It doesn't see your Gmail, Drive, contacts or anything else in your Google account, and it doesn't keep Google access tokens.

Who can see it

  • You.
  • The site's admins, and your group's teacher, see your name, username, email and a summary of your progress.
  • The leaderboard shows you only if you choose to join it, under a name you pick.

Services the site uses

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and stores its data.
  • Questions you ask the AI tutor, with matching study-kit passages, go to the AI provider (NVIDIA, or OpenRouter as a fallback) to write the answer; some questions also go to a web search. Don't put personal details in tutor questions.
  • If email is set up, emails are sent through an email service (Resend or Brevo).
  • Payments are taken by Stripe or Razorpay, under their own privacy policies.

There are no ads, the site doesn't sell or share your data, and it uses no tracking cookies: only the cookie that keeps you signed in, and the referral cookie above.

Keeping and deleting

Your data stays while you have an account. Ask the site's admin to delete your account; that removes your progress and records, except payment records, which are kept as long as the law asks. Backups are kept for up to two weeks, and the hosting provider's restore history for up to 30 days.

Questions
